I was raised in a church with a Christian background and although I have always believed there is a God, I haven't always lead a life of total faith and alignment. I'm not going to fluff around with my words here, as total transparency is key, so some might not like what I have to say on here but I believe it's my job to tell it straight.
Like I say, I've always known that God is real but had put him to the back of my mind and ran my life my way for quite some time, and only prayed when things got bad or I've wanted something (which I think many of us are guilty of).
I didn't want to go back to any church ever! I'm not saying they are all bad, but experience has taught me that you only go if you don't mind being judged, want to be lead by rules and have the 'sad-sack' stigma that comes with going to church.
As life would have it, there's been highs and lows along the way and ultimately I've learnt lots of things, including how to design and master many forms of printing. But something wasn't right. Every day seemed harder and there was (still is) a feeling I can't explain, that there is something big coming, and that there is a calling on my life.
I started talking to God more, asking him to help me with my current business and my situation and to also give me an answer on what i was supposed to be doing ( I KNEW HE HAD SOMETHING FOR ME TO DO). It felt like he wasn't there anymore and wasn't listening. This went on for months and I still had faith that he WAS there, but I didn't understand why he wasn't helping me.
I decided for the first time in my life to actually try and read the Bible. I knew lots of biblical things that I'd been taught, some of which was very correct and some of which completely wrong. I truly believe through the random openings of the Bible the King of kings showed me what he wanted me to do. A business plan to tell it straight and try and undo the image of what people view believers to be.
So, the designing I've got covered, (I've always had an eye for fashion and ever since I was a child I would create my own style that others would copy, some would say a God given talent in creativity), however, where I excel in creativity my ability to focus on anything other than creating has been a struggle my whole life, so I know the big man is behind everything I have been shown and the knowledge that I have now. I can highly recommend asking God for knowledge and wisdom over anything else - 2 Chronicles is a great example of this ( see what I did there recommending a Bible chapter #sonotme )
Every random Bible opening has been broken down to tell it straight and get others wearing the truth. I've learnt that the religious systems are mostly man-made traditions that bare no relevance to what's actually in the Bible when you rightly divide the word of truth. (2 Timothy 1:15)
The message is clear... Alignment.
All 1189 chapters carry the message of alignment. Forget your fear-lead rules and just have a personal relationship with God and create your own church in your own home.
Matthew 18:20 " For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."
So that's me. I swear, I still do lots of things wrong and would certainly be frowned upon by a few, but I've aligned myself with God, and honestly, it's awesome, like having a secret weapon with you everyday!
